The browser brave

The browser brave

The war between the browsers has lasted a long time. In the beginning, Netscape challenged Internet Explorer. Then Google and Mozilla came with their products Chrome and Firefox.

Microsoft Explorer (now Microsoft Edge) started here greatly losing users for every new update that came when their browser was under all criticism and eventually became totally unusable on most pages. After Firefox and Chrome been equilibrium for a while, Chrome finally lasted the longest straw and got victorious from the battle.

For Apple users, there was also Safari, which in the beginning was a really good alternative but has become worse and worse over time and can soon take over the "Internet Explorer" title for the world's worst browser.

We should also mention our Norwegian colleagues' work with Opera - which has some really "fan-boys". But my own experience is a bit too limited to compare Opera against these others mentioned here. Please comment on Opera in the comments below.

Then we have the problem with all ads and tracker? They often take over 50% of what's downloaded on a browser and the traces drag down all your web history to be able to target ads better to you.

But we have a challenger on stage - Brave

Brave blocks all ads and tracker (for those pages you want) it also has a very easy-to-use user interface. In tests, it is often more than twice as fast as Google Chrome.

Yet another feature it has is a built-in "contribution system" where you can upload money to an account and then give money to the pages you think it deserves. There may be charity projects, artists, Youtube channels and much more.

Brave also has tools for developers, which are usually generated by the F12 button to review code.

Just that - Brave is completely open source too. Which in itself is a big reason to use!

I chastise Brave's motto here:

Brave er på en mission for å fikse på nettet ved å gi brukerne en sikrere, raskere og bedre surfingopplevelse - samtidig som det gir økende støtte til innholdskapere gjennom en ny oppmerksomhetsbasert økosystem eller rewards.

Much more than a browser, Brave is a new way of thinking about how the web works.

Brave is open source, and built by a team of privacy-focused, performance-oriented pioneers of the web, founded by the inventor of Javascript and co-founder of Mozilla.

Join us. It's time to fix the web together.
